- Object of these works Hydrological and landscape restoration at the former Malle airport. Purpose of the works The intended works are part of the restoration of poor grassland, heathland and fen habitats. Place of execution The works will take place in the province of Antwerp in the municipality of Malle. The location of the plots on which works are planned are shown on the maps in the appendix. The works will take place in a special protection zone (SBZ). The area was designated by the European Union as Habitats Directive area and is part of the Natura 2000 network. As a result, a number of vegetations and habitats are protected, in addition to a whole list of rare animal species (species and habitats of the Habitats Directive). These works are aimed at recovery of these Natura 2000 habitats. Nature of the assignment The works cover various work zones and include: Restoration of heave-rich grassland and fens by excavating nutrient-saturated and/or disturbed top layers. Filling in canals Land development by means of raising and profiling Demolition and removal of foreign materials: drainage pipes Sods and drains Category (CPV code): Excavating and earthmoving work (45112000)
