Description:
The purpose of this work market is to develop an urban park in urban in Lessines which contributes to adaptation to climate change. It is part of the call for projects "parks in an urbanized environment" launched by the Walloon government in April 2021. The project submitted by the City of Lessines follows the realization of the municipal planning plan PCAR n ° 2 known as "DRAND-SUD district". This covers a large area located in immediate connection (by the Grand Rue) with the city center of Lessines (cfr. "PCA" plan in the appendix). Knowing that the area will be strongly redensified (more than 200 new dwellings to be created), the PCA provides for the creation, alongside a landmark, a new green space, a promenade, very natural appearance park allowing residents to leave visual urban density and to take a moment of resource and meeting in a fresh air bubble, as close as possible to nature. The desired project provides for an ecosystem approach and an arrangement respecting the existing nature and accessibility to all without discrimination as much as possible.
