- Description:
- The contracting authority wishes to renovate the kitchen of the Westrand cafeteria. The existing kitchen infrastructure is outdated, both in terms of finish and functionality, and no longer meets contemporary standards hygiene, ease of maintenance and ergonomics in a professional food environment. The current finishing materials for walls, floors and ceilings show wear, are difficult to clean and no longer meet the technical requirements for use in a public catering facility. In addition, it is insufficiently tailored to current operational needs and guidelines with regard to food safety. With the renovation, the contracting authority aims to: - create a sustainable, hygienic and easy-to-maintain kitchen area; - renewing the wall and floor finish in accordance with the requirements for professional kitchens; - installing a new, washable and hygienic ceiling suitable for damp and intensive use environments; - improving the overall safety, functionality and efficiency of the kitchen space; - bringing the space into line with the applicable regulations on food safety (including FASFC guidelines).
