EXPLANATION In 2020 the Master Plan 20-40 was proposed by the Kempen & Maasland Regional Landscape. One of the spearheads of this vision statement is the expansion of the number of entrance gates to the national park from 5 to 8. The Bergerven Nature Reserve in combination with the The 't Eilandje site in Neeroeteren was selected as one of the 3 new entrance gates.
