- Camping Houtum is located up the Kasterlee weir on the Kleine Nete. At this location, as in large parts of the catchment area, the Kleine Nete has been widened, deepened and straightened in the past. In order to increase the structural quality of the Kleine Nete, combined with an upgrade of the tourist-recreational pool of the Houtum campsite, a design must be drawn up for a remeandering on the right bank. Combined with this design, a vision must be drawn up for the plots on the right bank, taking into account recreational connections (walking paths, kayak rental, etc.), water experience, water storage, etc. Digging the new meander must be a catalyst for an upgrade of this zone within the natural and recreational infrastructure without impacting the surrounding agricultural destination.
