- The upgrade and rehabilitation of the Malmedy wastewater treatment plant (compliance with European obligations) is an exclusive work file included in the SPGE's 2022-2027 sanitation program as well as its 2025 priority project program. It is part of the sanitation of the Amblève sub-watershed. This contract only provides for the work strictly necessary to bring the works into compliance with the obligations of directives 91/271/EEC and 2024/3019 relating to the treatment of urban wastewater. This work mainly includes the construction of a new low-load activated sludge biological treatment line. As a reminder, the Malmedy wastewater treatment plant treats wastewater urban water coming from the city of Malmedy, for an equivalent load of 25,000 inhabitants.
