It is part of the missions entrusted to ONDRAF in accordance with article 179, § 2, 4° of the law of August 8, 1980; article 2, § 2, 1° and § 4 of the royal decree of March 30, 1981, as well as in the responsibility of ONDRAF in matters of transport of packages of radioactive waste transferred in accordance with article 10, § 2 of the law of April 26, 2024. Transport of various unconditioned radioactive waste in transport packaging such as excepted packages, industrial packages and type A packages. Transport of waste low activity liquid radioactive substances not packaged in IP-2 bulk packaging. Transport of unconditioned medium-level solid waste as LSA-II materials. Transport of alpha sources, beta sources and neutron sources in a compact transport packaging type B Transport of EOP waste from the Doel and Tihange nuclear power plants. Waste is presented for transport in Type B approved High Integrity Containers (HIC), mounted on a chassis provided by shipper and suitable for attaching to a 20 foot trailer.
