- The object of the assignment is a study into the possibilities of using pumped groundwater for various purposes on the Vilain XIIII estate in Leut. Tourism Flanders owns the estate, which is located in a mining subsidence area. About the consequences of the mine subsidence To combat this, millions of m3 of groundwater are pumped away into the Meuse every year. The drainage pipes of that pumped groundwater run through the castle park. Toerisme Vlaanderen wants to investigate whether it is possible to use part of that pumped water, initially to protect the area. rewetting, but other possible applications should also be investigated. The contractor maps out the needs analysis in consultation with the main stakeholders and, together with the client, prepares additional studies and research and provides guidance throughout the process. The study assignment leads to a preliminary design and design and ends with specifications for the preparation of the implementation files.
