An existing long-term contract for support on international matters in this sector has been extended until 28 December 2021. International negotiations will continue to require technical input and outreach on our policies remains necessary, especially since the next few years will be crucial in ensuring an early adoption of climate-friendly refrigeration technologies at global level, in line with the requirements of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol. Thus a new contract must be in place when the existing contract expires.
