- Explanation for the current assignment: In 2014, large renovation works took place at the Municipal Swimming pool Prinsenpark. The municipal swimming pool consists of a large and small (toddler) swimming pool. After execution of these renovation works, in particular at the start of the first maintenance works, it was established that the outer tiles of the landing gutter around the two swimming pools (large and small swimming pool) were almost half cracked and pushed forward. In the absence of an amicable solution regarding these findings, the municipality of Maasmechelen was forced to initiate legal proceedings. After an expert investigation by a judicial expert and a long judicial proceedings regarding the aforementioned problems, this knew her settlement through final judgment, pointed out on 23 May 2023, by the Antwerp Court of Appeal.
