SV Hofstade - Walk On Water
Sport Vlaanderen, more specifically the sports infrastructure department, writes this assignment for the preparation of the implementation file and the construction of the 'Walk on Water' in SV Hofstade in Zemst, according to a guiding reference design of the commissioning administration. The 'Walk on Water' Will be realized in the beach zone near the beach building, the bootshuis and the present pier. In addition, it replaces the waterom fence present that defines the swimming zone in the lake. The purpose of these works is to replace the existing water fence that is in very poor condition. This fence is useful to create a safe swimming zone and to protect the users of the beach zone. Through the integration of the "Walk on Water" we guarantee this safe user zone and combine it with floating hiking trails that enable the rescuers to take action much faster and more efficiently at potential calamities. This way the rescuers can quickly reach all the edges of the swimming zone. In addition, the "Walk On Water" ensures a wider access on the site since it will connect the beach zones together over the water ...
