Description:
Purchase of a new dPCR instrument based on pre-made solid-state partitions to complement the capacity of performing dPCR analysis using the state of the art technologies in quantification of nucleic acid target sequences at the Food Safety & Compliance Laboratory (Lab area Nucleic Acids Analysis), in particular in multiplexing, in different areas:(1) In the area of genetically modified food and feed produces comparative test materials; and (2)In the area of pathogen surveillance monitors the performance of routinely in use RT-PCR tests, updates/develops new assays for SARS-CoV-2 detection and provides (certified) reference materials, customised proficiency testing schemes and reporting guidelines for effective SARS-CoV-2 surveillance (e.g. in wastewater surveillance).
