Description:
SUPPLY AND COMMISSIONING OF AN ELECTROCHEMICAL FABRICATION LINE FOR NANO-POROUS METAL ELECTRODES
This public tender concerns equipment for the research and development of advanced metal electrodes for (green) hydrogen gas electrolysis. The fabrication process of these electrodes includes wet (electro)chemical processes such as plating and anodization of metals, as well as wet chemical etching of, for example, oxides and synthetic materials. The equipment must be compatible with millimetre-thin substrates with an area of up to 1000 cm2; only single-substrate processing is considered, no batch processing. In addition to the research and development of the electrodes, the equipment should enable us to verify the industrial scalability of the manufacturing process. This requires a certain flexibility of the device and limited tank volumes (plating/anodization: 40-90 L and etching/rinsing: 20-40 L), but also a high degree of process-control and -monitoring to demonstrate the stability of the process.
