- The present assignment concerns a framework agreement for services for the rental of a
herbicide train supervised by qualified personnel.
The proposed herbicide train must comply with the technical provisions of Part 6 of the specifications. The tenderers submit this the based on the Weed Killer Train Specifications Checklist added in Appendix 1 to these specifications.
The stated objective is the reasoned spraying of the main tracks (ballast zone + adjacent safety lanes) on the Belgian railway network by means of a limited use of herbicides.
Infrabel annually determines the number of campaigns (1 or 2) and the number of routes to be carried out based on the principle that spraying on the traditional railway network takes place during the day and on the high-speed lines (HSL1 Brussels / Paris, HSL2 Leuven / Liege, HSL3 Liege / Cologne, HSL4 Antwerp / Netherlands) at night.
