Description:
Sanitation concerns oil pollution in the ground and in ground water caused by underground tanks.
The pollution covers an area of 700m2. 400 m2 are located under the public domain (road, sidewalks and car parks), 15 m2 under the school and 20 m2 under the wooden building locatedue not far from the vats. The rest of the pollution area is not located under specific infrastructures. The depth of the pollution reaches 5 meters deep at the level of the tanks.
The soils have very low permeability, but the small amount of water they contain is alsot polluted.
Pollution in water extends over a smaller area than in soil (600m2).
