- Through the current assignment, the client wishes to conclude an agreement for 4 years, with a possible extension of 2 years, with a preferential service provider who will be responsible for selling contact lenses to patients and this with the necessary support for patients in adjusting it. This support will often have to be provided in Dutch. Knowledge of other languages is considered a plus. The service provider will therefore be required to at least speak Dutch are. In addition, the service provider is also expected to provide ongoing training and further training for UZ Leuven employees. In exchange for this service, the service provider will provide space within the buildings of UZ Leuven available for the term of the agreement. For this, the service provider will have to pay a monthly fixed fee (see further award criterion price) to UZ Leuven. The client attaches great importance to financial transparency regarding billing to patients. The client reserves the right to assign this assignment to a maximum of 2 service providers (the 2 first in ranking) in order to guarantee the continuity of services, but also in the to be able to offer patients the necessary diversity in contact lenses in such a way that the widest possible scope of pathologies can be treated.
