Description:
When the crypt was built, it was with simple materials and finishing. This resulted in an execution that essentially completely coincided with its function as a tomb. However, this method of implementation had a built-in time limit as the degradation of the materials began. This was later corrected by intervening at different times to clean up the whole thing. The adjustment works were previously done on an ad hoc basis without a clear vision for the future. The current situation is therefore far removed from the appearance of the original initiative that created it concept of the crypt which has been watered down. The whole thing lacks quality and appreciation. As already indicated above, the recent adjustments, although always well-intentioned, are not improvements that strengthen the heritage values of the monument. So they cannot be preserved. Cfr. the decision of the management plan and the vision of Immovable Heritage is the main objective of the management of the crypt, to maximally preserve and restore the historical heritage value of the whole, including the adjacent graves. In general, the general structural physical condition of the crypt is and is improving the whole is well maintained to the extent possible. This is also the conclusion of the management plan.
