Description:
In the present assignment, a quote is requested for the restoration of a set of 11 paintings assigned to the painter Ledoulx. The paintings are incorporated as a wallcovering in Hotel De Coninck (Design Museum Ghent) and as such recognized as a cultural property. Hotel De Coninck is part of the Design Museum Ghent. Design Museum Gent is currently closed due to renovation works. In June 2026, the museum reopens with a new wing thing. For the historic building Hotel De Coninck, this closure is the perfect moment to carry out some much needed restorations and consolidation works on the interiors. The works to be carried out have therefore been approved in accordance with the regulations of working on a protected monument by immovable heritage and the Monument Care Service of the city of Ghent. This assignment fits in with this larger restoration campaign of the interiors of the protected monument. We ask the submitter to submit a quotation for the totality of the assignment, namely the conservation and restoration of the entire set of 11 paintings assigned to the painter Ledoulx.
