- The assignment consists of some infrastructure projects in the municipalities of Halle and Sint-Pieters Leeuw, where mainly steel parts are processed into a resting and experience place. The F20 bicycle highway between Halle and Brussels has been going through a renewed towpath along the canal since 2022Brussels-Charleroi. The bicycle highway between Halle and Lot is also used by various "icon routes": a network of cycling routes that focus on recreation and tourism. This context has led to the ambition of the F20 in addition to a functional cycle highway also a fully -fledged recreationalbicycle connection. This has led to a "spatial house style" for the F20 where the choice of materials forms an important common thread: each of theDesigns is composed of a combination of steel sheet walls. These robust construction parts are used in an atypical way to create striking and recognizable resting places. The first four designs of the pilot project are implemented in this first phase.The figure below shows the entire route between Halle (left) and Lot (right).
