- Following the floods which affected the province of Liège in 2021, the SPI (the territorial development agency for the province of Liège) is undertaking resilient reconstruction work on the banks of the Hoëgne, the watercourse crossing the commune. of Theux. The works contract in question is work relating to the left bank of the watercourse, downstream of the Avenue Reine Elisabeth bridge, the perimeter of which is shown in the photo below. PHOTO In a non-exhaustive manner, the work is defined as follows (from upstream to downstream): - Restoration of the left bank wall, between the Juslenville bridge and the downstream intervention limit defined on the plan; including filling in the scour at the top of the bank immediately downstream of the bridge ; - Demolition of the bank wall according to the limits defined on the plan, regrading and planting; - Protection of drinking water catchment; - Opening of the Fond de Wisselet municipal stream in its downstream part and installation of a path on gratings; - Demolition of the aerial part of the storm spillway and the masonry structure at its downstream end, facing the place called Forges Thiry - The plans attached to the file identify, locate and specify these interventions.
