Description:
The subject of this assignment concerns the dimensioning, delivery, installation and commissioning of a process of heat recovery system (WTW) within the VEG-ITEC Living Lab located on the site "UGent Campus Kortrijk" (see also www.ugent.be/vegitec). However, the executive (and contracting) government agency for this assignment is Howest (Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen). The proposed installation will be used for research, education/education and demonstrations of the recovery of otherwise wasted heat within the vegetable and potato processing industry on both industry and various training courses. The implementation of such a system is new because it will be linked to the local heat network "Kortrijk Weide". The advantage of the implementation of the system is two -fold. Firstly, the vegetable and potato processing industry develops rapidly, in which thermal and electrical energy is recirculated, reused and diverted to other parts of the process.
