Description:
This assignment concerns a current and in-depth analysis of the contemporary (music) event culture for young people in Flanders, with a special focus on the barriers to organizing events by young people themselves and on the other hand. safety perception of girls, young women and people from the LGBTQI+ community. The remarkable decline in visitor numbers and the increase in barriers to organizing something yourself make clear the need for research into underlying causes. This qualitative research will question young people themselves, as well as local authorities, youth work and other youth associations. In addition, recommendations for policy and local actors are made. This research is an update and deepening of the Party research 2002 and 2013. The final report of the Party investigation from 2013 can be found in the appendix.
