- Description:
- The Department of Culture, Youth and Media wants to conduct research into the theme of integrity in youth work. Integrity is a social theme that is receiving a lot of attention. There is already a strong focus on subsidized youth work creating a safe environment for children and young people, but also focusing on learning about issues and reconnecting through a recovery-oriented approach. Furthermore, further expectations regarding integrity have been formulated in recent years Flemish Government. The Youth Decree of 23 November 2023 defines an integrity policy as a set of policy instruments at organizational level with the objectives: • the preservation and promotion of the individual physical, psychological and sexual integrity of persons; • promoting the integrity of the organization as a whole and the integrity of its youth workers. The decision of the Flemish Government of 9 February 2024 implementing the Youth Decree stipulates that organization: • takes measures with a view to: • the prevention of, response to and curation of breaches of integrity; • raising awareness about breaches of integrity and acting with integrity; • training youth workers about integrity to act; • respecting privacy and sharing photos, videos and information of children and young people with integrity; • has a document in which the integrity policy and the protocol for reports, fixed...
