- Description:
- The waste-to-energy plant consists of 2 incinerators, each equipped with a steam boiler. The steam is used both as a heating source and to generate electricity. These steam boilers contain heat exchangers in the form of tube bundles. This pipe bundles have been damaged by intense use. As a result, repair work is required on the following parts for both boilers: • Evaporator 1 • Superheater 1 • Superheater 2 The assignment includes, on the one hand, the removal of the current pipe bundles from both boilers and on the other hand the fabrication and installation of the new pipe bundles. Removing the pipe bundles involves removing insulation and plating, dismantling, removing and transporting the old pipe bundles to a scrap container. The new pipe bundles must be manufactured in accordance with the applicable standards and guidelines, according to PED cat. IV mod. G. Installing the new pipe bundles involves bringing the new ones to site, assembling and welding them pipe bundles and replacing the insulation. Any damaged insulation and/or plating must be repaired. A construction file must also be drawn up for the inspection body. The costs of the inspection by a recognized organization are also borne by the contractor.
