Description:
For a project, VITO must be able to buffer wastewater from 5 chemical companies in buffer tanks. From here, the wastewater is pumped in a certain mixing ratio to a mixing tank. From this mixing tank the waste water is offered to a mobile treatment unit consisting of filtration and membrane techniques. The final effluent is pumped to the discharge point. The waste water supplied by the companies has already been purified in their water treatment plant and meets the current discharge standards of the individual companies. This is discharged into surface water. Quality wastewater: The total salt content (TDS) of the wastewater varies between 1 and 10 g/L with chloride concentrations between 0.4 and 4 g/L. The pH is neutral and the concentration of organic substances is low (COD concentrations between 30 and 130 mg/l. To buffer these wastewaters, VITO is looking for a number of buffer tanks and mixing tanks, which can be rented for a period of at least 4 months. Extension of a few months should be possible.
