Recycling park: Durmelaan 8, 9880 Aalter Groen -Composting Park: Durmelaan 14; 9880 Aalter The recycling park and green composting park of Aalter are accessible to residents and staff members, But also for non-residents such as, for example, established companies, Aalterse associations, owners of a second stay, etc. The Local Governance Aalter already uses an access system on both parks (barrier on entrance and barrier on exit) in which residents, employees of Aalterse companies, ... get access via eID. Residents who are not in possession of a Belgian e-ID can get access through a badge. The number of visitors who both visited parks were in 2024: • For the recycling park: 26,842 visitors (on average 91/day) • For the Green Composting Park: 69,835 Visitors - on average 259/day - on peak days up to 700/day. The recycling park is only accessible today by appointment. An appointment system offers clear benefits for both the applicant and the operation and follow -up of the parks: a more efficient course of the visit and a more planned approach.
