- The aim of the assignment is to renew the balance structures of both North Castle bridges (both the eastern and western bridges). Renewing the Noordkasteel bridge balances is a necessary intervention to achieve the initial objectives to continue to guarantee the lifespan of the bridges. In order of magnitude the scope contains - Renew balance arms and boxes (+ filling) with new welded balances in half-timbering - Renew tie rods - Repair anchorages of A-hinges - Replace main pivot points East bridge (A+B+C+D bearings) cfr current configuration - Optimize all bearings on the East and West bridge - All necessary disassembly and assembly work The prerequisite is the existing flights, seat, rack beams, propulsion and electrical maintain installations. Important: We already indicate at this stage that for this assignment the steel producer will be required to have proof of a valid EN-ISO 9001 certified quality system, issued by a certification body recognized by a national accreditation body (minimum requirements). The certification will be requested for each steel supplier or producer who will supply steel within this work. It will therefore not be sufficient to grant an ISO9001 certificate from the main contractor add. It is important that the steel manufacturer works according to ISO 9001, which means that they must meet a certain quality standard for the production and traceability of the steel.
