- This assignment concerns the remediation of the Herentalsebaan 657 in 2100 Deurne. As a result of the former gas station (1966-1986) at the current garage workshop, a historical contamination with mineral oil and BTEX has emerged in the soil and groundwater. The remediation consists of an in-end compressed air injection with soil air extraction. The compressed air must be injected into vertical filters. The soil air must be extracted at the level of the buildings in vertical filters and at the level of the undeveloped parts from a horizontal drain. The duration of the remediation is estimated at 1 month installation phase (filters, injection pits, drains, pipes, mobilization installation ...) and 12 months of implementation phase (PLI and BLE). In view of the reconstruction/renewal of the Herentalsebaan by the city of Antwerp, the remediation must be started at the beginning of September 2025.
