Description:
Dender, Durme and Schelde (DDS), as a service association, is commissioned by and in collaboration with its participating municipalities of Lebbeke, Wetteren, Wichelen, Zele and the municipality of Laarne a group purchase for the remediation of private fueling tanks.
In the context of the Mayors Covenant 2030 and the local energy and climate pact (Lekp 2.0), the participating municipalities are strongly committed to stimulating an environmentally friendly living environment. That is why, among other things, they are committed to the active remediation of unused or outdated fuel oil tanks.
The aim of the group is aimed at residents to support with the sealing (remediation) or removing their old fuel oil tanks in a safe, efficient and affordable way. After all, uncontrolled or incorrect outdoor use tanks are a potential risk for soil and groundwater pollution. Through one Joint approach is encouraged residents to switch to more sustainable heating systems.
DDS and the participating part of this public contract Municipalities only act as a facilitator to bring citizens together to remediate their heating oil tank. The final agreement for Fuel oil caning is closed between the selected company and the tank owner. Payments and disputes also take place between the company and the commanding citizen.
