Description:
Within the local government of Harelbeke there is fragmentation in the field of visual identity and brand communication. There are currently different logos for various entities within the city, such as the logo of the City of Harelbeke, the logo of House of Welfare and separate logos for Sport Harelbeke, CC the SPOOR, the library and the city schools. Each of these logos has its own typography, color palette and visual style, resulting in a lack of consistency in the visual city communications. This not only leads to confusion for external communication, but also internally it causes inefficiency and lack of clarity. Moreover, the current corporate identity of local government Harelbeke dates from 2011. In 2025 has reached the point that the corporate identity no longer meets current standards and a complete overhaul is necessary. Almost every urban authority with its own services has its own logo and corporate identity. (CC the TRAIL, city, House of Welfare, urban schools, library, sports service...). Everything falls under one and the same organization, which is not clear from the communication. The current corporate identity is also graphically too limited.
