- Object of the supplies and services: manufacture, supply and installation of rails and special textile products for the areas of KANAL-Centre Pompidou.
Description of the assignment: This assignment concerns the supply and installation of rails and the manufacture and installation of special textile products in the rooms of KANAL-Centre Pompidou. Special textile products are defined as curtains that have specific qualitative or spatial characteristics to determine the atmosphere of certain rooms in the KANAL building. Their manufacture is compared to standard curtains quite complex. Their presence and relevance in relation to what is described in this file are therefore fundamental to the functioning of these spaces.
KANAL project: The Brussels Capital Region wants Brussels, the capital of Europe, to become a cultural center world-class teaching that consists of a Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and an Architecture Center. The chosen site is the former 'Citroen Yser' garage, located between the Sainctelettesquare, the Willebroekkaai, the Ruimingskaai and the Akenkaai in 1000 Brussels. The total floor area of the project is approximately 45,000 m2.
The KANAL cultural pool will in particular accommodate:
-About 15,000 m2 dedicated to modern and contemporary art, of which 12,000 m2 is reserved for exhibition spaces;
