- The object of the qualification is the creation of a list of recognized flexibility service providers (FSP). This is in the context of the energy transition. After all, electricity consumption is expected to increase sharply. New Technologies, op the areas of consumption and production, such as solar panels, heat pumps, electric cars, batteries, etc. will bring challenges in the distribution network: in particular dealing with volatility in consumption and high peak loads on specific parts from this net. Complementary to its known methods (including investing), Fluvius wants to develop flexibility and supported services as a method to maintain the quality of our services. To provide these flexibility and support services there is a need for qualified FSPs (flexibility service providers) who can provide these services to Fluvius: for example, the FSP can ensure that the consumption of electricity during peak times is temporarily reduced by controlling industrial processes, batteries, electric cars, etc. There are already a number of FSPs active in Flanders that provide similar services to the TSO. This file concerns the continuation of the previously published qualification system FLU24D016.
