Description:
When analyzing the interventions already carried out in recent years, the Kempen fire brigade zone (hereinafter referred to as "zone" in this text) has established that the car ladder is mainly used for evacuations during interventions for 'urgent medical assistance', which meansand provide to the ambulance. This assistance translates into a horizontal evacuation of the victim with a stretcher from a higher floor, via a terrace or via an open window.
Within the zone there are several buildings for which the 30 m ladders in use are not sufficient.
AlsoThere are several industrial installations on the territory of the zone where the use of a 40 m car ladder is desirable.
In that view, the zone aims to purchase a car ladder with a reach height of at least 40 m, with a basket and platform attached to it that can be have been developed that aAll emergency services can work safely in all circumstances and that the victim can be evacuated safely. The basket must be able to move upwards both on the right and on the left (of a possibly narrow street) up to the window or terrace.oak. The following are essential for the zone:
- the maneuverability of the basket and
- the accessibility - for all emergency responders - of windows and terraces on higher floors.

The zone is therefore looking for a car ladder that meets the above requirements.
