- In a context of high price and volatility of energy prices, the public water sector, concerned about its public service mission, wishes to limit the increase in the water bill for Walloon consumers. Accessibility to water, for everyone, is an issue in the water sector, taken up in the industrial plan defined by the latter. The sector also wishes to participate actively in the energy transition by developing its own capacity for renewable energy production, while maximizing the use of this energy. The water sector therefore wishes to define and set up one/several models of energy sharing between all Walloon players in the sector, at advantageous and stable prices, notably aimed at limiting the impact of the price increase on the bill of Walloon consumers. Energy sharing is taken in its broadest sense and covers energy communities as well as all other alternative solutions.
