- In a context of high and volatile energy prices, the public water sector, mindful of its public service mission, wishes to limit as much as possible the increase in the water bill of Walloon consumers. Accessibility to water, for all, constitutes an issue in the Water sector, included in the industrial plan defined by the latter. The sector also wishes to actively participate in the energy transition by developing its own renewable energy production capacities, while maximizing the use of this energy. The Water sector therefore wishes to define and implement one or more energy sharing models between all Walloon players in the sector, at advantageous and stable rates, aiming in particular to limit the impact of price increases on Walloon consumers' bills. Energy sharing is taken in its broadest sense and covers energy communities as well as all other alternative solutions.
