With such software, oceanographic data from research vessels can be stored and displayed, in this case the old Belgica (1984-2021, hereinafter referred to as Belgica 1) and the new Belgica (2021- ..., hereinafter referred to as Belgica 2). The data must be made available in the 'Observations and Measurements' standard and the SensormL standard. To manage the data in both standards, specific (Open Source) software solutions already exist.
