- The Parking Agency is responsible for implementing the Region's parking policy and guaranteeing its proper functioning. It is responsible for the tasks specified in Article 39 of the ordinance of 6 July 2022.
Within the municipalities of the Brussels Capital Region that manage their parkingAlthough we have outsourced it to the Parking Agency, the latter is responsible for checking the cars parked next to the road and collecting parking fees. The Agency is also involved in the granting of exemption cards, such as residents' cards. The two largest deptThe Agency's operations are the 'On-street' department and customer service. The 'On-street' department consists of stewards and employees who coordinate the activities of the stewards. The stewards check the parked cars on public roads. This command is being executedd on foot, by bicycle or with scan cars. These scan cars are cars that scan the license plates of parked vehicles on public roads and check whether the owners of these vehicles are in order when it comes to parking.
Customer service manages all customer emails and phone calls, but is also responsible for staffing physical receptions. The customers are citizens who have received a parking fee and who may wish to dispute it, or persons who wish to apply for an exemption card.
