Description : The objective established by the eHealth Network in line with the Directive on patients' rights in cross-border healthcare (2011/24) is to facilitate the cooperation and the exchange of information among Member States.
The eHealth Network endorsed cross-border patient summary service and cross-border ePrescription and eDispensation service to be part of CEF (Connecting Europa Facility). These two services have been piloted on a large scale (epSOS /EXPAND and e-SENS). During these projects, technical specifications for the two services were developed. Such specifications were afterwards used to configure compliance and scrutiny test tools, in order to automate and scale up the compliance check with hundreds of pages of technical specifications. The tools used to support specifications formalisation and compliance cheeking were Gazelle and Art-Decor. Both tools were accepted to become part of the core service offering by eHealth DSI (Digital Service Infrastructure) under CEF.
