- The Pier van Blankenberge is a classified monument. Due to its location in the sea, the pier and the head building with wooden promenade is in particular, exposed to the power of the sea. In storm, the splashing waves pound up against the wooden beams in the northeast quarter of the Promenade around the head building. Several storm damage has already occurred in the past and some temporary repairs have already been carried out. To give the problem a sustainable solution, the Blankenberge city council is looking for a contractor according to the conditions as described in the specifications in the attachment. The assignment contains the execution of the works in the context of a restoration premium.
