Description:
This assignment relates to services for carrying out the legally determined personal dosimetry for all professionally exposed employees, (master) students and visitors of Ghent University (hereinafter referred to as "Ghent University". This assignment includes several lots. Lot 1: Passive total body dosimetry (effective dose) o with change period 10 times per year for approximately 550 people o with change period 4 times per year for approximately 650 people. Lot 2: Passive extremity dosimetry (equivalent dose), with changeover period 10 times per year. o Front finger dosimetry approximately 25 persons o Possibility of ophthalmic lens dosimetry for approximately 5 persons Lot 3: Determination of internal contamination with radionuclides (Bq/l) based on urine samples, o Routinely approximately twice a year for approximately 5 persons each, who work with low-energy Beta radiators (mainly 3H, but possibly also 14C and 35S). o On call for incidents involving open sources. Lot 4: Passive body dosimetry via reusable direct-read dosimeters o for visitors / students / trainees within a maximum of 10 research groups. We provide approximately 30 in total dosimeters.
