- It is possible to make a tour with a rental car in the city of Bruges in order to give tourists and other interested parties the opportunity to discover the historic city center and the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage of Bruges. For reasons of public order, rest and safety, such a rental car tours can only be organized by a natural or legal person who has obtained a (exploitation) permit for a rental car for this purpose. This permit will, if the conditions are met for this, is granted in advance and in writing by the mayor of the city of Bruges and is required for every rental car that is used to set up the tours. The total number of permits that can be granted is also limited because of public order, tranquility and public and road safety. A maximum of three (3) permits can be granted, so that a maximum of three (3) rental cars can also be operated in the city. As the number of permits to be granted is limited, the present market survey procedure is provided for.
