On September 1, 2026, the childcare landscape for preschoolers and primary school children will change fundamentally. From then on, the decree on after-school care and activities (BOA) must be implemented in local practice. The Opwijk municipal council takes on the management role and decides to organize the following after-school care offer for children from 2.5 to 12 years old regarding: •Voor- en naschools •Woensdagnamiddag •Schoolvrije dagen •Playground operation during all holiday periods The Opwijk municipal council makes the choice to outsource the implementation of this offer to 1 external reception partner in order to shape a centralized reception offer. Place of service: Central location De Boot, Heiveld 63, 1745 Opwijk De Leertrommel Free Primary School, Schoolstraat 65A in 1745 Opwijk Free Primary School 't Luikertje, Nijverseelstraat 131, 1745 Opwijk (Nijverseel) Free Primary School De Knipoog, Verlorenkostbaan 15, 1745 Opwijk (Mazenzele) Free Primary School De Lettertuin, Steenweg op Vilvoorde 229, 1745 Opwijk (Droeshout) Optional post: Primary school GO! De Duizendpootrakkers, Ringlaan 2, 1745 Opwijk (see passage III.10) The above list of reception locations is non-exhaustive for the entire duration of the assignment. At the request of the Opwijk municipal council it should be possible to set up shelter at other locations or to delete existing locations. The Opwijk municipal council undertakes to notify any changes in this regard prior to the assignment.
