- The Flemish Region has a slipperiness measurement system that aims to provide all Flemish road districts with sufficient information regarding: whether or not to salt the roads. The slipperiness measuring system consists of the following parts: β 57 stations with sensors in it road surface; β 38 stations with optical measuring sensors next to the road surface; β a central system for processing the data; β a road model developed and maintained by the RMI for forecast data; β a web application for the management of the RMI the presentation of all data. The object of this assignment is to optimize, expand and maintain the slipperiness measurement system, with the exception of the road model and the web application. Corrective maintenance is ordered according to the price list (in due to βthird partiesβ or extensions, adjustments to the existing network) with a guarantee period of 2 years. Maintenance also includes some small additional orders aimed at improving, expanding or expanding the operation of the equipment to implement changes in the configuration of the monitoring network, or to improve information flow in connection with the monitoring network.
