An Interpretation Center for the Tournaisis quarry basin
The City of Antoing wishes to create a discovery tool for the general public offering an immersive experience in the heart of the quarry basin. Site of discovery and transmission, it will constitute a support for the valorization and promotion of history.re of local heritage (technical, natural, human, etc.). History, heritage, geology, the daily lives of workers, the evolution of techniques and technologies... are all facets which will constitute the backbone of the project.
A priority project
The City has ambitions for its territorya rise in its tourist, recreational, educational and leisure offerings.
The south of its territory, rural and forested, will ultimately offer a complete range of integrated and eco-responsible quality products: Your Nature, ADEPS, Grand Large de Peronnes redeveloped, Marina, complex ccyclist (BMX, Although constitutive of the identity of the entity, as described above, this industry remains largely unknown to the general public. Consciousof its latent potential, the City of Antoing wishes to develop an interpretation space dedicated to the Tournaisis quarry basin of yesterday and today.
