Description:
Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority-s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. The purpose of this tender is to investigate more in-depth the possibility to build relevant indicators of wage adequacy (including gross wage ratios, but not necessarily only) in a comparative manner across Member States, that could be replicated easily. Such indicators of wage adequacy would concern not only the minimum or low wages, but also higher wage tranches or for higher paid occupations. The task will require handling microdata (checking different sources and extracting data from EU-SILC, the Structure of Earnings Survey and/or national or other sources), constructing relevant indicators and providing all the information so that the European Commission will be able to update these indicators in the future. The project will imply liaising with Eurostat and possibly national statistical offices. The contractor shall provide outputs related to the overall objectives of the project in the field of data collection and processing, microdata analysis, development of new statistics and indicators for economic analysis and support for evidence-based wage policy making. In particular, the contractor shall develop alternative indicators that could complement the assessment of the adequacy of wages - including gross wage ratios and net wage ratios - in a comparative manner across Member States.
