Description:
Purpose of the works The intended works are part of the recovery of polder grasslands (Kamgrasland-Rbbkam & Silverschoongrasland-Rbbzil) and of the European Protected Habitats 1310 (swallowing with sea bead, inner dike) and 1330 (Schorren, Binnendijks). Place of the execution The works take place in theProvince of West Flanders in the municipalities Uitkerke (Blankenberge) & Zuienkerke. The location of the plots on which works are planned are shown on the cards in the attachment. The works take place in a special protection zone (SBZ). The area was referred to by the European Union asHabitats Directive area and is part of the Natura 2000 network. As a result, a number of vegetations and habitats are protected in addition to a whole list of rare animal species (species and habitats of the Habitats Directive). These works are aimed at restoring these Natura 2000 habitats. Nature ofthe assignment The works cover various work zones and include: - superficial excavation incl. drain - plagues incl. Drain - clearing locks, depressions & ponds incl. drain - re -profiling pool incl. drain - excavation debris incl.Work zones is described in the working method in Chapter 3.2.
