Description:
The object of this assignment concerns: Multidisciplinary design team, led by an architect, for the realization of the new zonal headquarters for the Rand Fire Department.
The projecta completely new administrative office (with logistics warehouse) for the emergency response zone 'Fire Brigade Zone Rand' (it is not a fire station/barracks and therefore not an industrial building).
The project consists of the construction of the administrative center (office and meeting room) with dispatch roomwithin the administrative area and (partly) underground parking for (passenger) cars
and bicycles.
In concrete terms, it is currently being examined whether the following functions will be included:
- A logistics warehouse (stock of materials);
- A workshop for vehicles (maintenance (heavy) vehicles);
The surrounding areaconstruction is included in the design.
Fire Brigade Zone Rand wishes to realize this project via a construction team formula. This means that the contractor is involved in the design at an early stage of the design process and is appointed (awarded) so that the contractor and architect work together (ina construction team) to arrive at a final design and implementation file.
