In the context of a sustainability initiative, a hydroturbine was installed in one of the drainage channels on the Kallosluis. By means of hydropower, green electricity is generated for the operation of the lock and the accompanying lock building. There are conditions in the environmental permitthe impact on migrating fish to monitor and report. The assignment includes a telemetry study into the impact on the migrating fish, with the emphasis on eel, as a result of the functioning of the hydroturbine.
