• Description:
• The aim of the project is to set up sensors with which the emissions of passing vehicles can be measured from a short distance. This with a view to: 1) (through the Monitoring section): the inventory of the current emission situation (in particular: fleet composition and extent of exceedance of Euro standards) of the current (truck) fleet in and around the port of Antwerp; 2) (through the Enforcement section): initiating a renewal and renewal of the (truck) fleet, prior to the expected increase in traffic due to the realization of Extra Container Capacity in the port of Antwerp. In the context of this assignment, emission results must be obtained from at least 200,000 singly and validly measured emissions. of vehicles, spread over at least 4 strategically chosen measuring sites in and around the Antwerp port area, within a period of at least 25 and a maximum of 50 calendar days. The contractor may assume that the measuring locations will be located on highways and important traffic axes in and around the port area with a traffic dynamic whereby engine loads can be expected in a very significant part of the passing vehicles, necessary to improve the emission performance can assess. The campaign focuses on measuring sites with significant traffic volumes, where an average of at least 4,000 vehicles per installation will probably drive by per 24 hours...
