- Contract for design, manufacture, supply, installation, tests and commissioning of a 525 kV DC cable system composed of two -pole cables and a dedicated metallic return with a capacity nominal transport of 2000 MW and an optical fiber cable system with 144 fibers. The DC cable system will connect a CC conversion station, located on Princess Elisabeth Island in the Belgian ZEE in the North Sea, at a Terrestrial CC conversion station located on the Belgian continent in Bruges. The total length of the continuous current cable system in kilometers of circuit is approximately 65 km (55 km of circuit at sea, 10 km of circuit on land). The optical fiber cable system will be installed along the same route as the DC cable system to allow data transmission between the two conversion stations.
